About
Jersey For All connects Welsh diaspora and philanthropic individuals with regional female football and rugby teams accredited by the FAW and WRU, and mixed ability teams across Wales in need of financial support.
Founded by Welsh-American businessman Ty Francis MBE in 2018, the initiative finds sponsorship and funding for teams in Wales from around the world via New York Welsh, the worlds largest active Welsh diaspora network.
With the co-stewardship of American public relations executive Alayna Francis, the initiative, has found funding for over 1,000 players, would not have been possible without the generosity of our Welsh diaspora including Marc Walby, Dominic Barrett, Matthew Rhys, Spencer John, Charlotte Jupp, Richard Swain, Gwilym, Bryn & Ieuan Roberts-Harry and John Lyle, Glenn Treacher and The Liberty NYC bar, alongside the New York Welsh community. We have amazing support from our grassroots volunteers including, Mike Sage and our friends at Dragons Rugby, Rachel Grieve, Chair at Tenby Swifts RFC's South Pembs Sharks, Neil Evans at Carmarthen Quins, Lukas Gamble, Chairman of Kilgetty AFC, Katie Williams at Coed Duon Women and so many others.
Jersey For All was an idea by Ty Francis, who had co-founded New York Welsh, as a way to give back to his home of Wales, but like all ideas, was Inspired by the work already in motion for inclusion and gender diverse rugby by former Welsh and Lions International, Ryan Jones MBE. It continues to elevate grassroots sport in Wales, and hopes to grow to include individual young women and people with disabilities, who would otherwise fail to find funding.
We do not receive any funding or support from either the WRU or the FAW. We also do not receive funding or support from the Welsh Government.
